Part of the BACB’s core mission is to protect consumers. They do this by developing requirements for individuals to become certified as behavior analysts and to maintain their credentials. They provide a professional and ethical code that all Board Certified Behavioral Analysts (BCBA), Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) must follow. The BACB also has system for individuals to report behavior analytic services that are not provided in an ethical manner.
